Sania Mirza engagement called off

India's most successfull female tennis player Sania Mirza got engaged to her childhood friend Mohd Sohrab Mirza in July 2009 .

As per news reports, Sania Mirza told that she had been friends with Mohd Sohrab Mirza for the last five years, but found themselves incompatable during their engagement period.

Earlier this month Sania Mirza told media that she will retire after her marriage. This news was very shocking for her fans.

Imran Mirza, Sania Mirza's father, told to the media that the calling off of his daughter will not affect the relationship of both families as this decision they have taken for the happiness of their children. During the last six months Sania Mirza and Sohrab were spotted together in the tournaments and during her practices too.
